Founded in 2009 by Boian Videnoff, the orchestra aims to provide outstanding young musicians with a springboard into their professional careers. Over the years, the young ensemble has established its unique profile as an international talent forge for musicians and one of the youngest professional orchestras in Europe. It has brought its repertoire to a wide audience worldwide.

The Mannheimer Philharmoniker have performed in prominent concert series and festivals in Europe and Asia. They are regular guests in important concert halls such as the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg, the Philharmonie im Gasteig and the Herkulessaal in Munich, the Auditorio Nacional Madrid, the Milan Auditorium, the Stuttgart Liederhalle, the Queen Elizabeth Hall in Antwerp, as well as the Meistersingerhalle Nuremberg. They collaborate with renowned soloists such as Martha Argerich, Mischa Maisky, Sergei Babayan, Sonya Yoncheva, Lars Vogt, Elena Baschkirova, Johannes Moser, Sergei Nakariakov, Igor Levit, Alena Baeva, and Julian Steckel.

Numerous young musicians have already secured positions in professional orchestras following their tenure with the Mannheimer Philharmoniker. They have taken on tutti and solo positions in globally renowned orchestras. Many alumni remain connected to the project and return as tutors to pass on their experiences to future generations.
